Toastmaster
Ayan Pal has been a dedicated member of Toastmasters International since 2010, holding various leadership roles across multiple districts, including District Director for District 124. He became the first person from Kolkata to earn the prestigious Distinguished Toastmaster title in 2014, an honor he has received four times. Ayan was the District Champion of Impromptu Speaking in 2016 and has received numerous awards, including Area Director of the Year and Outstanding Club Growth Director for Region 13.
Where Leaders are Made
Ayan has been a member and volunteer at Toastmasters International, a non-profit educational organization headquartered in Rancho Santa Margarita, California since June, 2010.
He has served in several leadership roles across District 82, 41, and 124 encompassing India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. These include serving as a Club Executive Committee Member (61 Times), Club Sponsor, Club Mentor or Club Coach (47 times), Pathways Ambassador & Coach (once each) and District Officer (9 Times). He is currently serving District 124 as a District Parliamentarian.
In 2014 he became the first person from Kolkata to receive the title of ‘Distinguished Toastmaster’, the highest individual recognition offered by Toastmasters that less than 1% of members achieve in their lifetime, for outstanding communication and leadership skills. He has since been bestowed with that honor three more times.
In 2016 he was adjudged the District Champion of Impromptu Speaking for the world’s #1 District for 2016-2017 – District 41, serving North & East India along with Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan.
He has been the recipient of several awards. These include Area Director of the Year for District 41 (2018-2019), Outstanding Club Growth Director of the Year for Region 13 (2020-2021), comprising India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore as well as awards for Excellence in Club Growth (2020-2021), Resilience Award (2020-2021), and Excellence in Program Quality (2021-2022).
